Boston, MA – Providence Strategic Growth Capital Partners L.L.C. (“PSG”), an affiliate of Providence Equity Partners L.L.C., a premier private equity investment firm with over $40 billion in aggregate capital commitments, today announced that Adam Marcus has joined the firm as a Managing Director based in the Boston office.
Adam joins PSG from OpenView Venture Partners (“OpenView”), where he was a Partner focused on investing in and growing software and technology-enabled businesses. During his 10-year career with OpenView, he partnered with entrepreneurs to build category-leading companies. Prior to joining OpenView, Adam worked as a Senior Associate at Battery Ventures also focusing on investments in software and technology-enabled businesses.

Adam has over 20 years of experience as a software investor and operator. Prior to joining PSG, he was a Partner at OpenView Venture Partners (“OpenView”), where he focused on software investments. Adam joined OpenView in 2009, and over the course of his time there he served was on the boards of Instructure (NYSE: INST), Kareo, VTS, Spredfast (sold to Vista), UnBoundID (sold to Vista), Monetate, Instantly (sold to SSI) and Fieldaware. Prior to OpenView Venture Partners, he was an investor at Battery Ventures where he invested in ExactTarget (sold to Salesforce).
Adam received a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College.
