New CEO Marty Callahan Brings Proven Track-Record of Leadership and Driving Growth

WATERLOO, Ontario - DigitalEd, a leading provider of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) focused digital learning technology, announced today that Marty Callahan has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer. Marty will be responsible for continuing to help drive growth across the DigitalEd platform, while championing increased global adoption of STEM-focused digital learning across higher education.

Marty brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in the healthcare, financial services, insurance, and communications markets. He held senior management positions for several high-growth organizations, including Anytime Pediatrics, RevSpring Healthcare, and TransUnion Healthcare Solutions where he developed company strategy, go-to-market planning, and operational excellence that ultimately translated into organizational success.

"We are excited to have Marty join the DigitalEd team. With Marty’s diverse industry experience and established track record of driving growth and nourishing customer relationships, we are eager to continue our path under his leadership, serving our market with the goal of providing the most innovative and comprehensive online learning platform for STEM," said Christina Perdikoulias, President of DigitalEd.

Marty succeeds current CEO Jim Cooper, who founded DigitalEd in 2018 and took it from its inception through a period of growth and product innovation, culminating in securing a growth investment from PSG, a leading growth equity firm partnering with software and technology-enabled services companies to help accelerate their growth, in 2021.

“Jim and the DigitalEd team have built a comprehensive and highly scalable platform that is increasing the accessibility of education at a time of rising demand for e-learning tools,” said Marty Callahan, Chief Executive Officer of DigitalEd. “I am thrilled to join this impressive team in this period of exceptional growth and look forward to supporting their mission of unlocking more opportunities for students worldwide.”

"On behalf of DigitalEd and the PSG team, we want to thank Jim for his dedicated service over the last four years. His leadership and foresight spearheaded DigitalEd from its initial start to now serving hundreds of higher learning institutions today. We are excited to partner with Marty and the rest of the DigitalEd team during this next phase of the platform’s growth." said Tanner Austin, Vice President at PSG.
