PSG Joins PMC 2022 as a New Sponsor
The Pan-Mass Challenge is pleased to announce that PSG, a leading growth equity firm partnering with software and technology-enabled services companies to help accelerate their growth, is a sponsor of this year’s ride. The PMC is a bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country with 100 percent of all rider-raised funds, including $64 million in 2021 alone, gifted directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Dana-Farber). The PMC is Dana Farber’s largest single contributor, raising more than $831 million in support of life-saving cancer research and treatment since 1980.
PSG will join the organization’s community of passionate cyclists, volunteers, and generous donors to support the shared goal of funding lifesaving cancer research and treatments. As part of its partnership, several PSG team members will ride the two-day, 162-mile route from Wellesley to Provincetown, while also volunteering at the Brewster Water Stop.
PMC 2022 will take place on August 6 and 7, 2022, and include 16 routes – from 25 to 210 miles – bringing together more than 6,000 cyclists and 4,000 volunteers with a goal of raising $66 million for Dana-Farber.
“I am happy to welcome PSG as a sponsor of PMC 2022,” said Billy Starr, PMC founder and executive director. “We’re grateful to have support from the PSG team, who are taking their commitment to our mission to the next level by jumping on their bikes as PMC riders and volunteers in addition to sponsoring this year’s ride.”
“We are thrilled to join the PMC team as a sponsor for this year’s ride,” said Skip Besthoff, managing director at PSG and 13-year rider of the PMC. “Our team of riders and volunteers is proud to support the innovative and life-changing work of Dana-Farber through our partnership with one of the world’s preeminent athletic fundraisers.”

About the Pan-Mass Challenge
The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) is an annual bike-a-thon that has raised more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the world. The PMC was founded in 1980 by Billy Starr, who remains the event’s executive director, an annual cyclist and a fundraiser. The PMC has since raised $831 million for adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. The event donates 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly to the cause. The PMC generates more than 55 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue and is Dana-Farber’s single largest contributor. The PMC has successfully melded support from committed cyclists, volunteers, corporate sponsors and individual contributors. All are essential to the PMC's goal and model: to attain maximum fundraising efficiency while increasing its annual gift. The PMC’s hope and aspiration is to provide Dana-Farber's doctors and researchers with the necessary resources to discover cures for all cancers.
